For products incorporating CO₂-reduced steel, SWEP is carefully sourcing material from suppliers that optimize their supply chains and utilize renewable and low carbon energy sources, fewer processing steps in production and a higher degree of recycled steel content. The property of the steel does not compromise the high levels of quality and heat transfer performance that are a hallmark of all SWEP heat transfer products.

The CO₂-reduced steel option is available for the European market and is initially being offered in BPHE ranges, mainly used within residential and commercial solutions. SWEP's offering includes ISO-verified CO₂ calculations (ISO14067) for the specific product type, which can be used by the customer to calculate the total product footprint of their system.
