PDF Version

NEW YORK, May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) announced today that its Dover Technologies subsidiary has completed the acquisition of O'Neil Product Development Inc., headquartered in Irvine, California. With annual revenue of approximately $50 million, O'Neil will join the Product Identification Group (PIDG) of companies within Dover Technologies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 1981, O'Neil is a world-leading manufacturer of rugged portable printers and related media consumables sold under the O'Neil brand and to various OEM partners.

"Businesses continue to invest in workforce mobility tools to improve productivity and customer service," said Mr. Omar Kerbage, President of the Product Identification Group. "O'Neil is well positioned to meet these rapidly expanding needs for portable barcode printing solutions."

"This acquisition further expands our commitment to offer unparalleled value to customers worldwide by meeting all of their product identification needs," continued Mr. Kerbage. "O'Neil products will complement our expanding world-class portfolio of product identification technologies, which currently consists of the ink-jet printers, thermal bar-coders, and high-speed laser coders of Imaje, and the industrial barcode and RFID printers of Datamax. This acquisition strengthens Dover's position as a full-line supplier to the AIDC market and more specifically in the supply chain management and markets."

Tim O'Neil, founder and CEO of O'Neil Product Development Inc., commented: "As part of Dover, O'Neil will be able to further expand its capabilities and services to a broader customer base, stay at the leading edge of mobile printer technology, while entering new markets. We look forward to participating in this new stage of growth within the Product Identification Group."
