Dover Corporation Acquires Kurz-Kasch

ELGIN, Ill., May 31, 2001 /PRNewswire/ -- Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) announced the acquisition of Kurz-Kasch Inc. effective today. Kurz-Kasch is headquartered in Dayton, OH with plants in Newcomerstown, OH and Wilmington, OH as well as Sanford, North Carolina, and will be a stand-alone company reporting as part of Dover Industries, a Dover subsidiary and market segment. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Kurz-Kasch is a manufacturer of coil based electro magnetic switches and sensors that are encapsulated in a thermo set plastic. Commonly, these devices are used as stators enabling electronic fuel injection systems found on large diesel engines. Kurz-Kasch also manufactures phenolic brake pistons for automotive disc brakes as well as specialty thermo set plastic based components used in the aerospace and electrical industries.
