Blackmer, a Dover Corporation Subsidiary, Purchases System One Pump Line

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) announces that Blackmer, a Company reported as part of its Dover Resources business segment, will add a high end robust centrifugal pump line, System One Pump, to complement its current (positive displacement) product line of vane, progressing cavity, hose and eccentric disc pumps. With the addition of this new technology, Blackmer will be able to deliver the best solution for pump applications by recommending the appropriate technology that provides the lowest total life cycle cost to the end user.

The System One Pump was designed and originally manufactured by the A.W. Chesterton Company located in Stoneham, Massachusetts. This problem solving centrifugal pump has several unique features; motor adapters for instantaneous and precise motor alignment, labyrinth seals for bearing protection, oversized seal chambers for improved seal environment and the best pump shaft stiffness ratio in the industry. These features in return deliver several benefits to Blackmer customers, most importantly, one of the lowest total life cycle costs of any centrifugal pump.

Blackmer's acquisition of the System One Pump line from the A.W. Chesterton Company will allow the Company to enhance the growth potential of its strategic markets, and at the same time, become a more dominant solution provider for the customers it serves.
