BERG, Switzerland, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Alphasem, a Universal Instruments Company and a Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) subsidiary has announced the Swissline 9020 series, which sets new standards for 300 mm die attach and die sort equipment for the semi-conductor industry.

Alphasem has delivered its first 300 mm equipment to one of the world's largest semi-conductor manufacturers. This new state-of-the-art platform permits sophisticated wafer handling with a unique adapter ring system (patent pending) and five minute changeover to different wafer sizes in combination with minimized wafer exchange times during operation (2 wafers are processed in parallel), resulting in a considerable productivity increase. An additional benefit for the customer is a new vision engine integrated into a user-friendly, graphical control interface.

Alphasem is one of the leading manufacturers of die attach and die sort equipment for the semi-conductor industry. Its product range includes fully automatic die attach systems for Ball Grid Array (BGA), Chip Scale (CSP), Flip Chip and lead frame packages, as well as unique inline assembly solutions for discrete and power devices. Other applications covered are die sorting from wafers, now up to 300mm size.
